This policy explains what 406 Heating & Cooling LLC, doing business as 406 Heating & Cooling, collects through this website, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Who we are

406 Heating & Cooling LLC, DBA 406 Heating & Cooling, is an HVAC contractor based in Missoula, MT 59803, serving the Missoula and Bitterroot valleys. You can reach us on (406) 207-4780 or through the contact form.

What we collect

When you submit the estimate form we collect the name and phone number you enter, and the email address, service, town and message if you choose to provide them. Your name and a phone number are the only fields we require, because the only thing we need is a way to call you back.

We also collect standard analytics data through Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device it was on, and which events happened on the page, such as a tap on our phone number or a form submission. This is aggregate traffic measurement. We never attach your name, email address or phone number to an analytics event.

Cookies and tracking

Google Analytics 4 sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from another and to measure how the site is performing. You can block or delete these through your browser settings, or with any tracking blocker, and the site will continue to work normally.

We may in future run Google Ads conversion tracking, which uses similar cookies to record that an ad click resulted in a form submission or a phone tap. If and when that happens it measures the same events already described here and collects nothing additional about you.

We do not use Google Tag Manager, we do not run third-party advertising pixels from social networks, and we do not sell or share any data with data brokers.

What we do with it

Form submissions are delivered to our own business inbox by email, using the transactional email service Resend, so that we can quote your job and contact you about it. That is the only purpose. We use analytics data to understand which pages are useful and where the site needs work.

What we never do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to a lead-generation marketplace. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for an estimate. Your details go to the two owners of this business and nowhere else.

Who else touches your data

Three service providers are involved in running this site: Vercel hosts it, Resend delivers the form notification to our inbox, and Google Analytics measures traffic. Each processes data only to provide that service. We do not authorise any of them to use your information for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Estimate requests stay in our business email so we have a record of the job and can pick up where we left off, and we remove them when they are no longer needed for that. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set on the property, and it is not personally identifying.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (406) 207-4780 or use the contact form and we will take care of it.

Children

This site is for homeowners and businesses arranging HVAC work. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described here rather than slipped in quietly.
